Donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve been that lit since, even when I was 10-12 deep at Furthur Outside lands.

    ^you were 10-12 hits deep @ OL?

You’ve shared those pics before Ulysses…enjoying them again.

  3. garretcorncob Says:

Yeah JG. Spread out over the course of the day. Started around noon with 2-3, reupped about the same amount around 5-6. Then, about 5 rows back from the stage, my buddy and I were cracking jokes about not knowing who was up next, so this shady looking flatbrim in front of us turns around and asks if we’re serious. We assure him we’re not and get to talking. Turns out he’s been on Furthur tour back east and followed ’em out west. “Wanna get really high?” he asks us. The only answer to that is, of course, yes. So he puddles us from his eye dropper.

I was doing fantastic. My buddy got an accidental second drop on his hand and went too far. Ended up having to carry him out to the med tent from 5 rows from the stage.

Levon Helm Band on a smaller stage mid-afternoon with all the older folks was max-chillin though. Definitely a musical highlight of my relatively young life.

  4. garretcorncob Says:

It was between Levon Helm and Skrillex in that slot, so the choice was pretty obvious.

Although my friends who hit Skrillex said that a small child near them got knocked over by a bass drop, which I regret missing out on.

I have new found respect your mental prowess young corncob. Had mad respect for you before but this just elevates your status. You sir are a psychedelic Jedi in training; prob past the training phase at this point however.

Just wanted to pop in and say what up to ere’one!

I’ve been cheating on the BB with some saucy BBQ forums lately…doing some research on commercial BBQ.

New smoker has been acquired and IT IS TITS! Wasn’t planning on using until 4/20 but just had to test ‘er out this weekend. Smoked 6 half chickens in about 3 hours…all with just the push of a button. Filled the pellet hopper, set the temp and came back 3 hours later.

    Techno-que!

I have a beard however it is far from ironic. Any ironic beards on the BB?

  8. Stoney Case Says:

^lower left hand corner cat in a blue tshirt & blue cap is my boy Peteski who’s the drummer for San Diego’s Sure Fire Soul Ensemble. This was the KDTU Squaw Valley show 8/15/09. Wasn’t there but I’ve spun the show several times.

This here is my newest toy:

    http://greenmountaingrills.com/products/grills/daniel-boone/

They are having a $100 OFF manufacturer discount thru April 15th. (comes off the purchase price- no mail in necessary) My local dealer kindly knocked off another $50 as well. I’m considering it an investment in my BBQing future.

BBQ talk means summer must be coming. As a 25 year vegetarian (my god, 25 years!) the bbq season not really big for my family, but I will take the hanging with friends drinking outside season all day.

  17. Jerome Garcia Says:

You def need the Big Pig Trailer Rig. You could easily finance terr w/ some h3tty smoked succulent pig sangwiches & other smoked offerings.

  18. Jerome Garcia Says:

    Grilled vegetables are perhaps best

Well now I know how AJ has survived the food in China!

I’m just as interested in “smoking” in general as I am in the tradition of slow cooked BBQ meats. I hope to be able to please palates from all walks of life!

  21. aj Says:

Loved the food in China, would eat only that forever if I could. Super easy to be a vegetarian there too.

    Mmm, noodles.

  22. ren Says:

Actually, I liked pretty much anything I tried in China…and I tried pretty much everything. Didn’t venture too much into the really small hole in the wall type joints though…they were always a bit scary.

  23. garretcorncob Says:

    My beard is entirely sincere.

  24. little umbrellas Says:

    @StoneyC . Starlake12’n it. Good call, lovin this Mike’s.

Forgot about that Yem set closer.

  25. aj Says:

Ren, but those are where the best food happens! I figured that is why I got the shots. Sickest I ever was in China was Pizza Hut, shit tried to kill me. Learned then that cheese in China is a no no. Lived 3 years cheese free there, but had plenty of street style stinky tofu and food cooked on garbage cans. Not as much of that around these days. The last group I took in November was laughing at me because we have a no street food rule for the trip, but they kept catching me standing behind the bus eating fresh nan and stuff. Oh well.
