A Blank Space…
I’ve pondered what to write for a while now, and I’ve officially got a blank space where my mind should be. All I can think about is LOST. I’d write a piece on the show, but others do that quite well, and in appropriate places. For today, we’ll have to settle for a jam and a download. Dig into the archives and read a piece you never read before. Thanks for your understanding! To the Light…

Where is the Best Jams Spreadsheet?

Obviously subjective and not everyone’s taste (maybe even just 1 guy), but it’s a good starting point.
Thanks J. This is for you.

Looks good, Jtran. Some bonafide’s in that there list. Haven’t heard that Bowie>TMTTR>Bowie in ages.
Back when I was a high school noober, I heard the Talking Heads’ “Take Me To The River” for the first time on the radio and was floored. Went out and bought ‘Stop Making Sense’ the next day. The more I listened to it, the more I thought “Man! Phish should totally do this tune.” If any radio song sounded like cowfunk it was the TH version of that tune. Turned out they already had but never with the TH funkiness. (Not saying Al Green’s ain’t funky but the TH version sounded so primed for a cowfunk set rager.)
Still wish they gave it the proper cowfunk treatment. They had to be aware of how great it would be since they kinda played it in France during ’97 (surprisingly, a very unfunky rendition). Maybe in 0’10? Rainbows, dreams coming true, and unicorns, right?
On a completely unrelated note…
had the iTunes on shuffle and a song came up:
Major Lazer’s “Hold The Line” feat. Mr. Lexx and Santigold
The song is kinda neat (vibrate like a ‘nookia’…) but the video! The video is pure distilled awesomeness.
Had to share.
Goodnight all. Concentrating on geology from here on out.
nice, Bingo!
Yes!! Those kids stole all my moves!
Love it!
I always say, I know it’s funky if my face does this:
::makes the Selector funk face::
They got their funk faces on, fer sho!
My new favorite video!
(Sorry for all the exclamation points but damn if they ain’t warranted!)
7 23 97 Ghost @ 13 mins = FUNK. I like it
Great video Bingo! I’d jive with those kids for sure.
Watch out Meatstick, Funk Face is sweepin the nation
I’m trying to find the Rhombus on google earth with no luck
GoogleEarth the Divided Sky, maybe you’ll find it
The wind blows too high over the Rhombus, google earth will never be able to find it.
anyone still up
Yep, at work – its only 8pm here in Hawaii. Just curious about the BTB fest, you going at all? Thinking about going, but I am going to taking an old friend who has never seen phish before and he is going to be working on saturday (mornin) and not sure if we’d be able to make it with enough time before the show. We will be coming from Pittsburgh
@Lycan
I feel compelled to say yes, if only because that is, in fact, a truthful answer to your question. Unfortunately I’m in the middle of writing a paper, so I’m not really present on the board, with the exception of rare check ins…
So yes, I’m up, but probably not in the context you may have hoped…
Yeah…
I can tell I’m in paper writing mode by all the commas!
Long time lurker here. Just curious on this one.
What does “baned” mean? I would guess it means to get or be blazed, right?
I have never heard that term used before. My B in advance.
