    The show I saw at the Knick, second set opened with Lay Down Sally. Garcia’s guitar (either Tiger or Rosebud) failed during the tune and he ended up going backstage to deal with it while Melvin played a very extended organ solo..funky as can be, but folks were starting to wonder what was up. Garcia came back out and finished the tune, and the rest of the set, with the classic Wolf guitar.

    Next tune was the aforementioned “Waiting For A Miracle”. Unforgettable show.

    I may need to change my handle to give the other joe (who was here first) his name back. Cause my name isn’t joe anyway…lemme think of something and I’ll be back…

    @joggerz
    I was at that jgb show at the rosemont. caught some questionable blotter in the lot and thus in my confused state ended up spending the entire show one section over from my brother and friends but loved the music they brought that night all the same. haven’t heard that show in many many years. might need to track it down now…

    He Aint Give You None is the bust of busts…even tho it was in rotation. One of my absolute fave JGB tunes. So special to me. Reminds me oh so much of my man Paul, who is no longer with us….many an 18 year old basement sesh listening to the version on “compliments”.

    Enjoy your nite peeps…think it’s some JGB for me tomorrow!

    Re: dmb rumor

    Thing I hadn’t factored in until just now is, those will be Dmb only dates of the year, so the fans will be in full force

    Damn, post-Wilson jam from Hershey ’96 is a nice little bonus to that song! It’s not gonna make me chase Wilson, but I certainly wouldn’t complain if they decided to tack something like that on every so often…
