Miner is bogarting the jams? 🙂

  2. Gavinsdad Says:

AC request: if anyone has an affordable hotel room hold they are gonna bail on please let me know. My friends from the cape (Steph and boz for those of u who’ve met them) are ISO for sure.

    Thanks a lot.

  3. [Not Tom] Says:

GDiddy – what’s your electronic internet message handle?

  4. [Not Tom] Says:

I may not be using my room at the Chelsea.

  5. acleo Says:

Good Evening BB. The leg two order is in and waiting is the hardest part. Believe good things are in store for the contingent.

I have respect for the creativity and knowledge of this board. This is no shit. I have always had a connection with fans of the Phish…from my first show in 94 to today.
Thanks for keeping it real. Outside of some tight bro’s my Phish family is relatively small. This site gives me a place to share one of my favorite pass times….great art.

I wanted to know how many fans on this Board are second or third generation Phish fans? I am a first generation.

  6. Mr.Miner Says:

too classic not to share: from “Dan”

You want to talk about stagnancy? LOOK AT YOURSELF. When will you admit the repetitive and dependent nature of this vain project you have going Mr. Miner? Phish made themselves famous by doing things their way, not by appealing to some fan who is too jaded to appreciate how beautiful and magical each and every phish show really is. I can’t believe I even come to this site, that’s my fault, but maybe think about the fact that unlike you, the people in this band have a life, one that doesn’t revolve around your selfish and conceited opinions. Fuck you “Mr Miner”.

  7. Mr. Palmer Says:

    AW?

    😉

  8. Gavinsdad Says:

Thanks NT – find me here: edlooram AT yahoo

  9. vegas wolfmans Says:

I appreciate Dan’s direct approach. At least we know where he stands. Not sure where that was posted, but I wonder what makes someone that clouded?

Miner- Did you engage? Seems like taking the high road with flamers is old hat for you. How many times can you say: just one man’s opinion? Should you even have to?

Also, Shoreline ’97 was the biz. YEM above has caused me to take trip down ole memory lane. High five to KP for the remaster.

  10. Gavinsdad Says:

One man gathers and all that…

  11. [Not Tom] Says:

@Gd – got a blank reply from your iPad. Maybe that’s your way of confirming receipt ?.?.?.

  12. [Not Tom] Says:

Scratch that – got the 2d one

  13. Mr.Miner Says:

that was posted to this site. i just didn’t let it through. I did not engage.

  14. Mr.Miner Says:

charlotte 96 was the night that NYY wont the first world series since 1978. The show ended and a bunch of kids ran up to the sky boxes and we watched the final half inning and Charlie Hayes’ catch. Epic shit…drove right back home to DC after the show with a brand new celebratory glass pipe…

as for the show..the simple is actually quite good as is the reba and the antelope…but the simple is really the jam of the show…

but yeah, char ’95 was the business, as was 11.18 in Charleston, 11.21 in Winston-Salem, and 11.22 in Landover (45 minute Free)

  15. [Not Tom] Says:

Agree that the CLT 96 show contained a couple of gems, but overall the show had very little flow. Maybe I just didnt connect that night. Or maybe Phish was already looking ahead to The Omni and their second date with KP in Florida.

  16. MiA Says:

Pages keyboard passages in this Tweezer are absolute kissing cousins to the Albany YEM. Why shouldn’t they be, less than a few weeks apart? I like that they’re part of each other. Like Robear said, I may need to go backwards through Fall ’95.

    —-

I can sum Dan’s statement to one of the first lines in from Danny’s younger sister… “Danny, you think you’re so cool … But you’re NOT!”

Not sure why people feel the incredible urge to vocalize this though. Phish fans can definitely be weird. In good and bad ways.

  17. another phish phan Says:

    wow Dan

i do not always agree with mr miner, but appreciate his take. we all have our opinions.
i definately enjoy coming to his site and listening to his picks of music and reading his blogs. such a great range of music. i wish i had that much time to devote to phish these days. i must always listen to phish in the evening if i can.
i say thank you mr. miner.

i do not actually come b/c of this site, that occurs b/c of something else!!
    : }

  18. butter Says:

Nice hatemail Miner, I’m crackin up over here

  19. Mr.Miner Says:

@tom. yeah, i mean no doubt char 96 was a lite show.

  20. butter Says:

Cool WS story too Miner, I always enjoy the grounded connectedness of sports on tour.

  21. sumodie Says:

adding Steph & Boz to the Chelsea Pub & Inn would be sweeet!!!

(not that nTM should be bailing…boo)

  22. tela'smuff Says:

way to come to the defense of Charlotte ’96 Miner. I was foaming at the mouth after I read NTM’s dismissal. 🙂 yeah, not a top to bottom juggernaut, but that Simple still ranks up there near the best version that i’ve seen.

Simple>McGrupp is the biz in this show.

  23. garretc Says:

Been making a run through MSG ’87 the last couple days. Just came outta Space on night 3. Nothing I’d call mind blowing, but a lot of quality packed in to what’s there, definitely!

  24. sumodie Says:

Home from Rodrigo y Gabriela in Boston, my 3rd time seeing this duo and I’m still awed by their talents

This time they’ve added a terrific 6 piece backing band (all from Cuba I believe)

Having a full band does change the RodGab sound but it was still tight, loud, and a blast to behold

RodGab still perform several numbers as a duo in the middle of the 90 min show. As a pair the sparks fly especially fast & furious -def the best part of the night

Of the duo, Rodrigo really grabbed my attention this evening. His guitar work has always impressed but tonight he finally seemed to be on par with Gabriela’s exceptional finger work (she mesmerizes me every time, sigh….)

Surprisingly, the Orpheum looked fantastic -the main room has a relatively new paint job. Excellent crowd, very diverse mix of fans (giant biker dude & gf were raging hard beside my partner, lol). We were front row center on the balcony and there was some serious balcony bounce a happenin’.

    Happy dreams await!

  25. Spasm Waiter Says:

    Hey Folks- Happy Tuesday.

Does anyone have the link for storage mix handy? Much thanks in advance.

BTW- My wife who has been well documented in her dislike of Phish was really enjoying the mix of plinkage a few nights ago. Go figure.
